**Week 1**: I introduced the course and went over the course outline, on Friday we started Number Sense Part 1*(rational numbers)*with a presentation and the first assignment**Week 2**: we continued looking at Number Sense Part 1 by completing the presentation and working on the first assignment, then we started a presentation on Number Sense Part 2*(square roots)***Week 3:**we had a review quiz, then looked at part 3, a review class, and then completed the week with the Number Sense unit test**Week 4:**we began our next unit with presentations, examples, and assignments for parts 1 and 2 of Powers and Exponents. As well, we had a review quiz on Friday*(on parts 1 and 2)*. Additionally, students received their grade 9 Mathematics textbooks this week.**Week 5:**we completed the Powers and Exponents unit with a unit review and then the unit test. Then we started part 1 of our next unit Similarity and had the first assignment.**Week 6:**we worked on part 2 of our Similarity unit with a presentation, a practice test*(quiz)*and a review class. On Friday the students wanted to work ahead, so we began part 1 of our next unit: Polynomials with a presentation, examples, and the first assignment.**Week 7:**we had our Similarity unit test and then worked on part 2 of the Polynomials unit.**Week 8:**we continued our look at Polynomials with some work periods and review quiz 1**Week 9**: we continued our look at Polynomials by correcting the first review quiz, then we looked at parts 3 and 4 of this unit**Week 10**: we continued our look at Polynomials by looking at part 5 and having our second review quiz for this unit**Week 11**: we continued our look at Polynomials with a unit review and the unit test. On Friday, we started our look at part 1 of our next unit Linear relations with the first presentation and assignment*(on problem solving)***Week 12**: we looked at part 2 of Linear Relations*(on forms of linear relations)*with a lecture and assignment. Then we had a few work classes. We completed the week with Linear relations review quiz*(practice test)*1**Week 13**: we looked at part 3 of Linear Relations*(graphs),*and part 4*(inequalities)*with lectures and assignments. We also had a few work classes.**Week 14**: we had a few work days and a unit review day before the class scheduled day of the linear relations unit test**Week 15**: we started our next unit and looked at part 1*(lines of symmetry)*and part 2*(rotational symmetry)*of Symmetry and worked on assignments 1 and 2**Week 16**: we completed our symmetry unit with a practice test*(review quiz)*, a review class and the unit test. We completed the week with a work catch-up class**Week 17**: we started our new unit on circle geometry with parts 1*(terms)*and 2*(tangents)*, assignments 1 and 2, and a review quiz*(practice test)*along with a few work periods**Week 18**: we completed the circle geometry unit with a review class and then the unit test. We started our final unit with part 1 of Statistics**Week 19**: we completed part 2 of Statistics and then spend the rest of the week studying for the MA10F final exam
